    Hi friends!!
    My name is Jessica, a mom of 4 and the creator and founder of Little Bum Coolers. I live in sunny Arizona and when I became a mom in 2018, I found myself struggling to buckle my toddler into his car seat. With him squirming, screaming, and arching his back against the flaming hot seat, I realized the true extent of the discomfort. It wasn't just the heat inside the car; the buckles and seat themselves were scalding!

    After that traumatic ordeal, I couldn't shake the thought: How do other parents handle this? Is there a solution to prevent these burns and keep the car seat cool?

    After a lot of trial and error, Little Bum Coolers was born.

    LBC got its start with me sewing car seat coolers by hand and sharing my design in local Facebook groups. What began as local pickups soon evolved into nationwide shipping!

    Over time, I refined the design to include insulated pockets for maximum coolness and a special water-absorbing fabric to keep seats dry. We added handles for busy parents on the go, and Velcro helps keep those precious ice packs stay put. The demand for car seat coolers exceeds my expectations each summer, so I no longer make each car seat cooler by hand.

1. How do you balance mom life with running your own business?

Thank goodness for school when it’s in session. But when summer comes, I plan out my to-dos the night before for my business. Morning is the best time for me to be focused and get work done. After a few hours of working, I usually go swimming or do an activity with the kids. It’s always a balance!

2. What’s your secret weapon for keeping kids entertained on a busy day?

Lego sets for my big boys, print-out coloring pages for my daughter, and a variety of snacks ready to go for all of them.

3. What’s one meal your kids will always eat without complaints?

We love this creamy tomato and spinach pasta!

4. What’s one thing you’ve learned about parenting that you wish you knew sooner?

I wish I’d realized how important it is to prioritize my needs as well instead of only thinking of the kids’ needs. I’m a better parent and person when I do.

5. How do you make time for yourself while juggling everything?

I’ve found that it helps so much to be strict about quiet time. I’ll have the kids read or do a quiet activity while I lay down for a bit or do something for myself.

6. If you could give one piece of advice to other moms on the go, what would it be?

Pack a lunch instead of just snacks for your kids when you go to a morning activity. You never know when they might be ready for lunch and you may be out longer than planned. It’s best to be prepared!

7. What’s your go-to guilty pleasure snack when the kids aren’t looking?

Hostess Powdered Donuts have been my weakness while pregnant.

8. If you could only pick one: Dr. Pepper, candy, or a nap?

I’m a candy lover
